In this class, students have to write reflection piece throughout the semester, and a final one at the end (attached).In reflection pieces students are asked to reflect on interesting findings of the readings, and their implications, and NOT to summarize the arguments made by the author(s). Students are encouraged to think about what particularly surprised them in the readings, and to find commonalities and contradictions among them. Every week, discussion questions will be provided to guide students’ reflection on the readings. While students are not required to answer these questions as part of the assignment (with the exception of few classes where that will be clearly indicated), they are encouraged to do so.
